QUESTION: What do you recommend for treating glioblastoma? Will HDIVC help?
ANSWER: Folks with GBM don’t have a lot of normal Blood Brain Barrier which helps, and using GLUT transport the ASC hits the CNS pretty well after an IV. In all the GBM I’ve treated IVC is an OK adjunct but never seen much as stand alone. I’d definitely look at DCA and a keto-diet (along with all the normal oral things we do for GBM).
We have started some investigation using Artesunate as well but too soon to call whether it will significantly help – I have more confidence in well dosed DCA.
