ATOPY AND GI CONNECTIONS Cont.

Sorry for a long email. I would greatly appreciate if you could provide input with a case of mine as I am still a baby doc. I have been working with this person, for a while and it’s frustrating!

28 year old with chronic eczema since age 14. Eczema over shoulders, back, groin thighs and legs, itching in the genitalia. With exposure to wind and humidity, develops hive like lesions over thighs and legs with intense itching. Has multiple food allergies and a very restrictive diet. Reacts to many foods including natural flavors in some of our products. Other ROS- WNL. Digestive function including bowel movements – Very regular.

At the time I saw him, was taking fish oils, flax seed, vital nutrients GI repair , multi minerals and a tincture containing liver herbs and cell salts, probiotic of 25 billion, and vitamin D all prescribed for almost a year.

MY QUESTIONS ARE:

Is there anything that I am missing? How to differentiate a reaction and a healing aggravation in this case? Should I presumably treat for Parasites due to the high IgA and eosinophils?  Is food allergy test reliable to do now? There is high sensitivity currently to almost all foods.

ANSWERS:

As for general answers it has been my experience that atopic constitutions become so inflamed that the GI tract, GI and Mucosal Immunity and systemic immune balance are all out of balance. This leads to excessive dysbiotic growth as well as an aggravation of immune imbalance. Specific recommendations and answers to yur questions, along with the lab data shared…

Tests:

  1. Doctors DataCDSA /parasitologyx3 showed: No dysbiotic flora; imbalanced flora – 3+ gama hemolytic strep, 2+ kleibsella pneumonia; high lysozyme- 856 (<656); Yeast- normal flora only (trichosporum asahi); No parasites found
  2. Blood test: high serum IgA -1048; No autommunity, thyroid WNL; Chemistry: Blood Ammonia elevated- 39 (Range: 11-35); Blood glucose- WNL

So far have tried the following.

  1. Cleanse- oregano oil, grapefruit seed extract and caprylic acid and repopulated with good bacteria. Feels better for a week or 2 and then pleatues or there is aggravation of the skin. Patient was not able to do fasting, but added plant juices.
  2. quercetin phytosome, thorne biogest enzymes, adrenal support and natural moisturizers- To calm the hypersensitivity reaction to foods. **Did better for some time with this then began to aggravate.
  3. Activated B’s plant based diet, Vitamin A, alpha lipoic acid and natural moisturizers, Vitamin D- 8000 IU. **No changes noted.
  4. Undeclynic acid and Nystatin- (presumably treating yeast overgrowth based on sensitivity as mentioned in the CDSA report)- caused skin aggravation with oozing.

* Patient is sensitive to many supplements and herbs.

Currently, investigating heavy metal (mercury from amalgams). I have not done a food allergy test yet as he already has a restrictive diet and reacts to many foods.

ANSWERS & Questions:

Is there anything that I am missing?

DrA-Answer: You are on the right track. Look at Biofilms and see attached

How to differentiate a reaction and a healing aggravation in this case?

DrA-Answer:   They are mixed up in cases like this. Lots of inflammation and adrenal (corticoid) stress which aggravates any healing reaction. All GI “bug” people need lots of adrenal and sometimes more thyroid support. In some I give Hydrocortisone 10-30 mg q-AM if they get painful joints etc.

Should I presumably treat for Parasites due to the high IgA and eosinophils?

DrA-Answer: Yes. I’d 100% aggressively Tx with those labs

Is food allergy test reliable to do now?. There is high sensitivity currently to almost all foods.

DrA-Answer: No – they are so inflamed… wait till they are less immunologically activated
